Dajukebox was created as a free alternative to the large amount of commercial music players and mostlikely it will fit somewhere into your music playing experience. As a player, as a tag editor or as an organizer. It will always give you a quick way of doing common tasks. Read the tutorials, the help files and give it a try!
Using the windows standard
Dajukebox uses the Microsoft® DirectShow® architecture and WASAPI and ASIO playback on windows vista/7/8. DirectShow provides high-quality capture and playback of multimedia streams. WASAPI and ASIO allow for direct low latency soundcard access. Dajukebox supports a wide variety of formats, including MPEG Audio Layer-3 (MP3), OGG Vorbis (OGG), Monkey Audio (APE), WavePack (WV), and FLAC sound files. Dajukebox automatically detects and uses audio acceleration hardware when available, but dajukebox also supports systems without acceleration hardware.
Is there more?
Of course there is more, you can change the visual appearance of dajukebox, organize your music to different locations, edit tag information, search, filter, create playlists, and dajukebox doesn't use any registry entries but stores all settings in ini files. It is completelly anonymous, it can run from any location with limited user access rights, and much more. And we of course never stop thinking of better ways and better functionality, so stay tuned for more updates.
And it is freeware!
